ThreeSix Downhill is not just an attempt at making aluminum longboards. ThreeSix Downhill is the product of hundreds of hours of design and testing to create the ultimate aluminum downhill decks. ThreeSix decks are designed to pack the rigidity, precision, and life-long durability of a heat treated aluminum frame all into a good looking, weight-saving original designs that feel great under the rider's feet. ThreeSix Downhill longboards start life as a solid plates of the same heat-treated aluminum used to machine your precision trucks. The design is cut through the cold process of CNC waterjet cutting, preserving the heat tempered state of the material while taking the plate from a nearly  nine pound block down to a final weight of between 3.5-5 pounds. More scrap is cut away from the plate than is left in the decks! Concave is then slowly pressed into the flat shape providing the decks their foot-hugging rigid chassis.

 "Form over Function" doesn't apply to ThreeSix Downhill decks. Every cut and every angle is made for a reason. Turning a nine pound plates into a lightweight longboards that can still handle the abuse of downhill skateboarding isn't easy. The ThreeSix designs are simulated under various loads/positions: One foot pushing, carving, 45mph rolling over sidewalk cracks, race tuck, hard cornering, full slide, etc. and fatigue tested to over a billion cycles. The truss-like chassis is engineered to distribute these forces evenly across the frame while allowing material to be cut away where it  needed the least. The result is a stable, responsive, lightweight aluminum longboard with an ultra low ride height perfect for racing, carving, cruising, freeride, commuting, or whatever you want to throw at them!
